highline hotel

need an intimate, first class, luxury boutique hotel close to the best restaurants, nightlife and shopping new york has to offer?  try the highline hotel which opened its doors this year on tenth avenue and the corner of twentieth street.  lucky are we to know the owners and get invited to a charity event in the ballroom, called hoffman hall, this past summer.  the highline hotel is the perfect combination of a top rate gothic college campus mixed with a colossal townhouse on the upper east side.  and the owners did little to fight with what they were working with design wise.  i can only imagine what a holiday party would feel like at hoffman hall.  what to wear?  i’m thinking architectural or rich in color in maybe a deep gold or silver….  and of course, something i’ll be ready to dance in later.
